Delay in fulfilling the assurance to grant water and power connections to the existing houses possessing EHN.

Zero Hour mentioned

Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa regarding delay in fulfilling the assurance to grant  water and power connections to the existing houses possessing EHN.

As we all know, drinking water is among one of the most basic necessities of life. Many families which have constructed their houses possess EHN numbers, due to the  Circular issued by the Government of Goa clarifies that no new electricity or water connections will be granted to unauthorized or illegal structures solely on the basis of EHN tags. out of which such existing houses bearing EHN numbers cannot get NOCs from authorities for water and power connections. Although they are regularly paying the prescribed applicable house taxes.

In the absence of regular domestic water and power connections, these families face immense hardship in their daily survival.

This critical issue was raised previously on the floor of this House, at which time the Hon\'ble Chief Minister assured the House that the Government would find a solution and take appropriate measures to facilitate water and power connections for eligible EHN holders.

The steps which the Government intends to take to ensure these families are no longer deprived of these basic human necessities.
